Care Co-ordination Network Cymru: the key working charity
This is the holding site for CCN Cymru. A new website is under development and will become live early 2012.
| A new name and an exciting future |
On 31 October, at the 2011 CCNUK AGM, a resolution was agreed recommending a name change to CCN Cymru to continue the work in Wales.
This was due to recent changes within the organisation, and difficulties with funding streams for England and Scotland.
Care Co-ordination Network Cymru is the lead organisation in Wales promoting and supporting care co-ordination and key working for disabled children across the 0-25 age range and their families. CCN Cymru is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee with it's head office in Wrexham.
CCN Cymru has secure funding going forward, and new members have been appointed to the Board of Trustees to take the organisation forward. The objects of the charity remain unchanged, the new Board will meet in January 2012, and all members are excited about the opportunity to further the development of the organisation.

Margaret Barclay Development Worker for CCNUK has ceased working with CCNUK due to changes to the organisation nationally, and to take account of the Policy drivers within Scotland under GIRFEC which is promoting the Lead Professional role, similar to Key working. Margaret now works with LTCAS in children and families division.
Key working services for children with disabilities will continue in Scotland short term, and are taking direction from GIRFEC principles.
